The 'most beautiful celebrity face' has been named by a cosmetic surgeon (2024)
A cosmetic surgeon has revealed the celebrity with the most mathematically beautiful face, according to a mapping process known as the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.
Dr Julian De Silva has used the process, which originated from the European Renaissance and has been used to assess artworks, on today's most popular female celebrities.
Killing Eve star Jodie Cormer, 29, has been named as the most mathematically beautiful celebrity, followed closely by Euphoria actress Zendaya, 26.
He shared the results of his assessment on his company's Instagram page.
Alongside a photo of Cormer's face complete with the mathematical results of his assessment Dr De Silva wrote: "Jodie Comer is the most beautiful woman in the world, according to science.

The Golden Ratio, roughly 1:1.618, is a principle from mathematics that describes ideal proportions. When applied to facial aesthetics, it offers a guideline for achieving facial balance and symmetry. Ideally proportioned facial features, according to this ratio, are often viewed as more appealing.
Some of the proportions they may discuss, as outlined by the Golden Ratio, include: A visually balanced face is approximately 1.618 times longer than it is wide. The distance from the top of the nose to the center of the lips should be around 1.618 times the distance from the center of the lips to the chin.

In scientific studies, a heart-shaped or V-shaped face often emerges as the most aesthetically pleasing. However, attractiveness can be influenced by various factors, including cultural preferences. It's worth noting the concept of the Facial Golden Ratio, which has historically been used as a measure of facial beauty.
While the Oval is considered the most ideal face shape (it is scientifically proven that symmetry = beauty), it is misleading because all of the face shapes have their own allure and beauty.
