The future always seems a little brighter when I am wearing some slick white kicks. To me, shoes are the most important part of an outfit. It is the bridge between being uncomfortable, too feeling an increased measure of confidence in my countenance.
White Shoes for me are stress-free! To which I am very thankful because my life can always use a little less stress. Wearing white shoes has a few advantages when you go about your day. However, the advantage that I think about the most, as well as use every day, is purely aesthetic. It is the fact that white shoes match everything.
A problem that I am sure many casual self-conscious-trend fashionistas have gone through. For those who worry about their appearance, as I do, it is a blessing to automatically know what looks good when you are getting ready to go out. White shoes do that for me every single time.
Sometimes, I do attempt to pick other colors of shoes to wear, just to use them, because they are sitting in my closet collecting dust. However, there have been countless times where I start to wear them and then find myself in front of a full body mirror thinking some variation of “Nah…my white shoes would look way better”.
That is not even to say that my other shoes look bad, it is just that white shoes are just so visually appealing to me that I want to wear them every time. Wearing white shoes makes it less stressful for me, saves time, and gives me more confidence.
If you can remember, think back to the time you got to choose your first pair of shoes. You went to the store, maybe it was for your Birthday. Maybe it was for a new beginning in your life(it usually is for me), such as going to school or starting a new job.
You went to the store excited for the future. Soon you were going to be rocking your new Jordons, Dock Martins, or Levis. You find the ones you were looking for and buy them.
You then go home and get ready for some special or new occasion. You open the box that they are in, feeling giddy. You take a deep breath as you take them out of the box and admire them.
You quickly, but cautiously put them on, because you do not want to scuff them up before the occasion. You want to look your best and these shoes are the crown of the outfit. Now open your eyes! Just kidding, I did not tell you to close them hahaha. Plus you’re reading this haha.
Now in this memory/relatable scenario, I was using I am simply just talking about shoes. Not even talking about the color, because in this memory/scenario it could be any color. Let me just mention the power of a new pair of shoes.
The Powerful Change One Has With Wearing New Shoes
When we choose to buy anything, there is always at least some value that we mentally attach to it because we saw it as worth are time and hard-working money to purchase it. So when we have a specific urgent desire to buy something that we feel that we need to associate ourselves with, it is of great importance to how we want to live.
To purchase something is a visual reflection of what we want to become. If we want to buy food, we want to become full. If we buy a car, we may want to become independent. So what do we want to become when we choose to buy a brand new pair of shoes?
For me, the reasons are comfort, capability, and confidence. Not sure what other reasons there are, but those are mine. So do not steal them! Just kidding haha.
When someone has reasons like comfort, capability, and confidence, Your not just buying something. You are investing in yourself. Hoping that the shoes will validate and support you for becoming greater than you already were.
Confidence has a direct connection with preparedness. When we put on a pair of shoes that we want, we are preparing ourselves for something. Whether it is a date, playing sports, going to church, or anything else. If we are confident, it is because we feel capable and comfortable in a task. With shoes being a big part of many people’s lives, having the desired shoe of your choice affects your aura as you attempt to complete the task.
So when we wear a new pair of shoes that we find value in, we desire to live up to the value that we have chosen to associate with because we value ourselves. As a result, we find value in ourselves and we become more confident. #valuedshoesequalsmoreconfidence
The Upgrade When The Shoes Are White
This is a very simple upgrade to explain compared to the last section. The fact is, the color white is symbolic of goodness and light. So when someone wears the color white, it just radiates positivity. It attracts people. People are more likely to feel comfortable approaching someone if they radiate light.
Since I believe shoes are the foundation of someone’s look, It is my opinion that their presentation as they wear white shoes strengthens their persona.
The visual symbolism of shoes represents our life story. Shoes show where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. To have them be white, just clearly shows the symbolic condition of our lives, because white as a color is a clear canvas.
If you have a brand new pair of white shoes, it can represent a new beginning. If they are scuffed up and worn, it may represent the hard work that you are putting in to achieve something. If they are really dirty, they may represent the confidence and transparency you have to wear your heart on your sleeve. If they are unrecognizable and falling about they could represent, the drive you have to never give up. This is what I see. Which is another reason I love white shoes.
They might represent something different to you. To you, they may just be white shoes. All I know Is that I love them and I am excited to buy plenty more when the time comes, for these reasons that make me love them.
