High street giant TK Maxx is known for stocking high-end designer items with significantly lower price tags than you'd normally pay. In some cases, TK Maxx customers find genuine premium designer items for hundreds of pounds less.
One TK Maxx customer thought she'd won the lottery when she spotted a genuine Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 bags are one of the brand's most iconic handbags. They're timeless pieces, and retail at a hefty £1,100 when bought brand new.
But in TK Maxx, of course, you'd expect to pay significantly less. That said, the shopper had a shock when she looked at the TK Maxx price tag on the Louis Vuitton Speedy handbag.
Esther Atkins shared a Tik Tok of the Louis Vuitton bag she'd found in TK Maxx on High Street Kensington, London. She captioned the video: "UK TK Maxx finds."
But while the video featured several different items, it was the bag's price tag which took centre stage. The cost? £950.
The TK Maxx price for the Louis Vuitton stunned some people, as it was just £150 less than if you bought the original. It's undoubtedly cheaper, but for some, it wasn't cheap enough.
“I would not give TK Maxx £950. Not in this lifetime and most certainly not in the next.," said one person in the comments section. Another said: "£950 are you joking!" Somebody else wrote: "They’re brave leaving that on the shop floor." "A whole LV bag," said somebody else.
Another person said: "You’re lying! A whole speedy! How much was it & what TK Maxx is this?!" "That’s about £450 too much!" said somebody else.
