Should I declare my pre-existing medical conditions on my travel insurance?
Regardless of your age, having proper travel insurance in place is essential when going on holiday.
You can declare your medical condition through our online medical screening process, which is a straightforward set of questions for us to understand how your medical condition affects you. Or, if you prefer, you can complete the medical screening over the phone.
It’s important that all pre-existing conditions are declared on your medical travel insurance policy. This will avoid large medical bills if you need treatment in another country. Failure to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions may affect the validity of your policy should you need to claim.

Which destinations can I get covered for with over 75s travel insurance?
Your over 75s travel insurance can cover you for travel to most places, as long as your destination is safe to visit.
Check travel advice from the FCDO and World Health Organisation before you set off and while you’re away. If the FCDO, World Health Organisation or local authorities advise against ‘all’ or ‘all but essential’ travel to your destination, then it won’t be safe for you to travel there.
Your policy will become invalid if you travel somewhere against official advice, meaning you wouldn’t be covered in that destination.
