The amount due varies according to the type of provider and is applied to each person for every day of their stay.
Find your tourist guide
In Italy, by law, onlyauthorized professionalsare allowed to work astourist guides. Anyone willing to pursue this activity must previously have qualified for it.
Recognizing an authorized guide is easy. Professionals are required to always have theirPersonal Identification Badgeon display, showing their full name, speaking foreign languages, and a photo.
A professional tourist guide, thanks to an in-depth study of the relevant subjects and constant updating, is in the best position to guarantee a valuable tourist experience, engaging visitors with a lively narration rich in relevant information as well as local curiosities. The Trade Association that counts the largest number of tourist guides in Milano isConfGuide-GITEC, which is part of Confcommercio MI-LO-MB.
GITEC-associated tourist guides are all operational and participate in continuous training activities in order to be fully informed on upcoming events, exhibitions and cultural/tourist initiatives in the city.

Drinking water, fountains and swimming pools
As you enjoy going around the city, you can quench your thirst at the many public fountains, a small gesture maybe but one that also makes your visit more sustainable.
The Vedovelle, aka the Green Dragons, are one of the symbols of Milano. These cast-iron fountains, with their curved taps that evoke the shape of a dragon's head, can be found in all the city’s districts. Milano's water is safe, drinkable and tastes good.
Here’s a list of the city’s monumental fountains: please note that it is forbidden to bathe in the public fountains in Milano during the hot summer season.
If, on the other hand, you need information on the outdoor bathing facilities for playing sports or for cooling off in the summer, you can find all the details here.
