In a class I taught yesterday, I had a student ask me about the IELTS dress code. What should candidates wear to the test center?

You can even wear cool-looking tennies, trainers or sneakers. However, having said that, you still want to dress respectfully.
Don’t, for instance, rock up to your Speaking Exam in a stained t-shirt or an old hoodie. This is not appropriate, and, I feel, disrespectful to the examiner.
