Can you store latex with Vivishine? ›

Because there is no friction from polishing, this procedure is gentle on the sensitive latex surface and protects it at the same time. After treatment with VIVISHINE and subsequent drying, the latex clothing can be easily hung up and stored in the closet or even garment bag.

For a good shine-up use a quality silicone-based oil dressing. For best results spray or rub the garment while wearing it. It's fun to get someone else to polish you, especially in hard-to-reach places. Lightly work it into the latex with a lint-free cloth or clean hands using small circular motions.

Extreme heat can melt it, so keep latex away from hair straighteners, irons, heaters, etc. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, water and humidity can cause discolouration and contribute to deterioration. Store it dry. Give it enough time to drip dry and air dry after washing.

After washing, pour in fresh clear water and add (about 1 tablespoon) ViviSHINE. Let the latex clothing bathe in it for a few minutes and move it around a bit so that all areas are evenly wetted. Then briefly shake off the latex and hang for a few hours to dry and air out.

You can wash your latex product using warm water and washing up liquid and finally rinsing off with clean water, allow to dry then dust the inside of the product with talc to stop it sticking to itself. Then store your product in a dark place making sure it does not come into contact with any petroleum based products.

To launder your latex, use a little gentle soap in luke warm water, move the garment around in it so that the water moves in and around the garment, attempt to remove stains with your fingertips. Then wash in clean luke warm water, you may wish to repeat this to be sure to remove any soap.

Drain the water and please hang to dry on plastic or wooden hangers in dark spaces indoors away from heat and direct sunlight. Once completely dry, you're good to go! Rock your latex or safely store your latex in tissue paper or plastic garment bag in dark wardrobe for next time!
