NEW YORK FASHION WEEK | VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

Requirements:

  • 18+ in age

  • Previous fashion show experience a plus

  • Must be available for an interview via Facetime or Skype

  • Must be in NY for shows

  • Must have full availability

  • Must be respectful of others including peers

  • Must be able to follow instructions and execute

  • Must be a team player and willing to work where needed

  • Must be punctual & reliable

Rise NYFWoffers many areas in which volunteers can join. Areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Front of Housevolunteers are involved in collecting tickets, helping to arrange seating, assisting vendors/sponsors to their booths and helping set up, seating guests in assigned sections, and any other task that require assistance prior to, during, and following the runway showcases.

  • Back of House volunteers are those who will be part of the designer and stylist team. Responsibilities include steaming & ironing garments, dressing & undressing models, keeping all accessories and clothing brought by designers organized, and repacking all outfits made/brought by the designer. Designers are encouraged to use their designer assistants to help in any and all tasks necessary to complete their runway show.

  • Other potential areas for volunteers are available based on experience!

Is it hard to get invited to NYFW? ›

Like I said in the beginning unless you're a top-tier blogger or a magazine editor, chances are you're going to have to request tickets to get invites to shows. Now, some shows do their NYFW ticket requests in-house (i.e themselves) and some brands hire PR agencies to manage their attendee list for NYFW.

Transparently, I have never been paid “to attend NYFW”. NYFW itself is more of a title for the week of events so there is not some higher power out there recruiting people and paying them to attend (at least to my knowledge) 😅.
