Trick or Treat with Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper
Kissing with Watercolor Shapes
Ooho-eeee! The Atlanta weather has been spectacular this weekend. With just a little rain came some cool days and crisp air. Leaves are starting to fall (only some have turned yellow and fallen, but the trees are still full of green leaves), and the evenings require an extra blanket on the bed. ♥ I love that! In the spirit of the lovely weather, I made a knit sweater card with a bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. Here’s my card:
The Crumb Cake panel is stamped with a cable knit pattern from the Knit Together stamp set and then cropped with the Knit Sweater Dies. While these items can be used with other products (or alone), they are beautifully paired to make a gorgeous Christmas sweater. here’s a look at the Knit Together Bundle:
After I stamped the Knit Together stamp (I inked it with Crumb Cake ink and stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock), I lined up the individual bands of the Knit Sweater Dies and secured them with Post-It Tape before running them through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. The temporary tape kept them perfectly lined up while they were cut – and I can use the same combination of dies for multiple cuts. Here’s a look:
I cropped the Crumb Cake panel and glued it to Thick Basic White cardstock so the pattern would show through. Such a brilliant set of dies! Here’s a closer look:
The sentiment on my card is perfectly paired with the warm sweater – the “Warm Christmas Wishes” sentiment from Encircled in Warmth was a perfect saying for my card, don’t you think?! Here’s a look at this wonderful sentiment stamp set, which is designed to coordinating with the Encircled in Beauty Dies from the Annual Catalog but also works well with the Layering Circles Dies:
I was about to complete this card with just Crumb Cake and Early Espresso (and white), but I decided to add Real Red to the mix at the last minute – so glad I did. I’ve made several monochromatic cards (with browns) this season, but the red really added something special and looks great with these warm tones. If you like this mix of Crumb Cake, Real Red and Early Espresso as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Bundles: Knit Together Stamp Sets: Encircled in Warmth, Knit Together Papers: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Early Espresso, Thick Basic White Inks: Crumb Cake, Versamark Accessories: Knit Sweater Dies, Layering Circles, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals
What do you think? Can you imagine how much fun you could have with this incredible bundle?
Thanks for stopping by today!

Good morning, Brian!
Your lovely card looks a lot like the winter sweaters I used to own up north. Paired with a turtleneck, it would be a daily outfit! Thanks for the memory 😉 I love the colors you used!Reply

🙂 Thank you so much, Suzie! That sweater might still come in handy a couple of days this Winter in Florida, but I get that you couldn’t wear it as frequently. Always love to hear from you! ♥

I so love this card, Brian! I have stayed away from this die because it looked to fussy. Thanks for the simple tutorial.

Thanks, Judy! It was far easier to use than I thought it would be. I was anticipating a challenge, but it worked just as I had hoped. You’ll love it! ♥

I couldn’t agree more, Hilda! It took me a while to break it out because I was concerned it would be hard to work with. That was not the case. Glad you like it!

Here in the North country we have already broken out the sweaters and
your card pattern is very realistic of sweaters found at L.L. Beans but a lot less expensive! Great card today Brian. Hoping fall lasts a long time this year. LOLReply

Boy oh boy Brian, this card makes me think of home! Those Michigan days cuddled up with your heaviest sweater and a cup of hot cocoa. I can still imagine it, even though it was in the high nineties this past weekend here in California. Your colors for this card are perfect!

Thank you so much, Katrina! I wanted cocoa when I was making this card – funny! 🙂 The 90’s might be a bit too warm for my taste, but I also don’t think I’d be able to make it through the Michigan winter.

Totally love your card. The Real Red and Early Espresso are such a rich topping. Don’t you love Post-It Tape? I use it a lot. After you die cut with the Knit Sweater Dies, you end up with how many cut strips?

Post-It Tape is the best! ♥ There are 9 strips of dies in the set but they don’t cut into strips (they only cut the patterns in to the paper). I used all but one of the dies here and then trimmed some of them off to fit the cardfront. Thanks, Wendie!

Oh deer/dear what a fun winter card. I already planned on getting this set and you made me want it sooner than later. Perfection with the pop of red, sentiment, etc. Thanks for the instructions. I am looking forward to using the paste stuff too with this die. I am really looking forward to trying a black and gold Iowa Hawkeyes color scheme for my husband’s holiday cards! Well done Brian.
