Common Questions About RELLIS

Does this invitation mean I am admitted to the RELLIS Academic Alliance?

Prior to admission, students must complete the free ApplyTexasapplication by selecting Blinn College, the RELLIS Campus, and the two-year college option. Additional documents will be required after the application is received. These may be found on Blinn’s Steps to Apply web page under “ Submit Required Documents.”

Why should I study at RELLIS?

The RELLIS Academic Alliance provides exciting opportunities for students to enroll in innovative bachelor’s degree programs in a variety of highly sought after career fields, while taking advantage of the 3rd most affordable tuition rate in Texas. The collaborative nature of the Academic Alliance offers unique opportunities for students and faculty allowing the shifting of ideas from laboratories to the marketplace, while providing new and multiple pathways toward a college degree.

Can I attend RELLIS and still transfer to TAMU?

While the RELLIS Academic Alliance is designed to provide seamless pathways to the bachelor’s degree programs located at the RELLIS Campus, students also can apply to any university of their choice. If I come to the RELLIS Academic Alliance, can I earn automatic admission to TAMU?

For questions regarding TAMU automatic admission programs, please contact a local Prospective Student Center or contact Blinn College Prospective Student Relations at blinnbound@blinn.eduto discuss the articulation agreements between TAMU and Blinn.

I was offered PSA. Can I take classes at RELLIS?

The RELLIS Academic Alliance and PSA are separate programs, and the PSA program is not offered at the RELLIS Campus. First-year courses at RELLIS are offered by Blinn College, not the regional universities. For questions regarding PSA, please contact a local Prospective Student Center.

Why should I take Blinn College classes at RELLIS instead of Blinn-Bryan? What’s the difference?

The RELLIS Academic Alliance provides students the opportunity to pursue associate and bachelor’s degrees from the Blinn College District and aregional university, all at the RELLIS Campus. This collaboration is only available at RELLIS. Blinn-Bryan provides freshman and sophom*ore courses that are fully transferable to all public four-year Texas colleges and universities and a variety of other four-year institutions. Can I still apply and transfer to Texas A&M University?

Yes, you still have the option to transfer to Texas A&M University by attending the RELLIS or Blinn-Bryan campuses, applying to TAMU, and meeting transferability requirements.

Does RELLIS have housing?

The RELLIS Campus does not offer on-campus housing. RELLIS students may register as a guest on Aggiesearchto locate off-campus housing in the surrounding area.

I don’t have a car. Can I still take classes at RELLIS?

Yes. A Texas A&M University bus runs a route to the RELLIS Campus. For more information, visit http://transport.tamu.edu/transit.aspx.
