National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED) is a type of academic programme designed by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The DHET designed NATED Courses to help students who do not have employment, become employable.

They designed courses that have two (2) qualities that are valued by employers. These qualities are:

  • Work Experience
  • Knowledge

Employers value these qualities because it makes their work much easier. When a candidate comes with work experience and knowledge, it is easy for them to start working and help the company be more advanced.

For someone who has no experience or relevant knowledge, it may take more time for them to learn the work, and most employers do not have the time to train interns. So this means by studying for a NATED Course, you become a candidate who is desired by employers.

NATED Courses are accredited by the DHET and the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). This means the courses are registered with these professional bodies. Which makes you gain a qualification that is more valuable.

ICB Courses focus on scarce skills which are needed in employment places, from finance, administration and management departments. This provides you with skills that are highly valued by employers.

Having these skills and knowledge that are required in any form of a business, you become a candidate that is desirable to employers. Having these skills even allows you to start your own company.

ICB Courses are accredited by the ICB and the QCTO. These courses are registered with these professional bodies. They are on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) system, which makes them recognised in South Africa.

After studying an ICB Course, you gain a qualification that is valuable to employers.

ICB Courses are recognised in many places. With over 500 training providers that offer these courses, the ICB has recognition in South Africa and abroad. You can use an ICB Qualification to find work, open a business or study further nationally and internationally.
