The aim of this course is to train the students in the field of apparel Design & Fabrication Technology. Apparel Technology is scientific art involving fashion techniques and designing. the constant technological up gradation has brought many changes in the field of garment industries and resulted in export potential. It has created the need for qualified man-power, technically sound to work on sophisticated machineries and equipments.
Course Objectives
To train students for Apparel Manufacturing Technology at different levels. To know the Sewing Techniques and Sewing Machines. To Design the various components of the garments. To know various techniques in Painting & Designing, Hand & Machine Embroidery and Knitting and Techniques of Textile Art. To dentify the various Textile Fibers New Fashion and Latest Technology in apparel Industry. To disseminate information on the latest technological developments in the manufacture, marketing and export of appareles. To train students for self employment. To develop entrepreneurial skills.
Career Scope
After completion this course the students can work as Pattern Master/Pattern Cutter/ Lay Marker Cutting Supervisor/Cutting Master Supervisor/Inspection/Quality Controller /Sample Maker Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser/Fashion Co-Ordinator/Buying Co-Ordinator/ Fashion Designer. They can work in teaching field as Instructor/Lecturer/Craft Teachers. They can setup Garment Unit.
