Jihoon Lee from South Korea was a well-loved 90 Day Fiancé cast member who has been missing from social media since 2022. The 30-year-old met Deavan Clegg, a 22-year-old from Salt Lake City, on a dating app and talked daily for three months. Deavan, a single mom, was over American boys, while Jihoon wanted to try dating apps after seeing them in a movie. As their love blossomed, Jihoon flew to the U.S. to spend three weeks with Deavan. However, on their very first night together, Deavan got pregnant and found out on the day he was leaving for Korea.
What followed was a roller coaster ride of cultural and communication issues between Deavan and Jihoon. Deavan, who relocated to South Korea in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, had several complaints about Jihoon, especially how he couldn’t keep a job, was irresponsible with the kids, and lied to her about money. By 2020, Deavan was back in the U.S., and the couple was uninvited from the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 Tell-All following claims that Jihoon had physically abused her daughter Drascilla. The split led to Jihoon and Deavan fighting for the custody of their son Taeyang from different countries.

In May 2022, Deavan confirmed she and Jihoon were officially divorced. Deavan was awarded sole physical custody of their son. Jihoon had fired his lawyer and never showed up to court. The same month, Deavan announced she was expecting her third baby, this time with her boyfriend, Topher Park. Within days, Deavan revealed Taeyang was diagnosed with childhood cancer, B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Deavan’s mother, Elicia, claimed Jihoon knows Taeyang has cancer but “does not help or support his son financially or emotionally.” She added, “Just ask Jihoon, and he will confirm this. You don’t have to believe me; just ask Jihoon.”

Fans went over to Jihoon's Instagram page and demanded answers about why he hasn't said anything about his son Taeyang having cancer, but he turned off the comments for his posts. At the start of 2022, Jihoon debuted his new long-haired look on Instagram. He posted about his dog, posed with friends, celebrated his birthday in February, and last updated in April 2022. The only thing that Jihoon did for Taeyang is return to Instagram in November 2022 to repost a screenshot from Deavan’s Instagram Stories to talk about Taeyang’s hospitalization for a “deadly fever” with no other new information. The post has since been deleted.
Deavan Revealed 90 Day Fiancé Storyline With Jihoon Was 96% Fake
Deavan spoke out about her storyline on the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, telling a fan, “Some was fake. Some were real. Season 1 … 96% was fake. Season 2, I would say 50/50 drama was real.” Deavan claimed that her relationship with Jihoon had ended in November 2021, but they continued filming. Additionally, she and Jihoon had never felt a romantic connection between them. They didn’t sleep in the same room and faked their relationship for the show. The information couldn’t be confirmed by Jihoon, thanks to his Instagram absence. However, in 2023, it looks like things will remain the same for 90 Day Fiancé alum Jihoon.
