There’s no specific limit to how many you can make; although, each time they update the game, the number goes down one so it’s always important you check to see if it has once in a while so you can delete one to avoid data loss.
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it's 25+. There isn't an exact maximum, though, as @Ally0w0 said.

Actually there is a limit, but it sometimes can differ on different devices or update or versions your on. I would say normally the limit will be 40+ or less.
At first, after you are near a limit a message will appear saying "WARNING: You have too many outfits. It is STRONGLY recommended that you delete some outfits to avoid experiencing data loss". I managed to get to 42 before the message was shown. When the message is shown, you will be unable to make new outfits. If you wear glasses and look harder at the screen, you'll be unable to see the [Empty Outfit Slot] button. I highly advise you to not create multiple of the same outfits. I think I'm awfully late, but I hope I supplied you with at least one bit of new information.
It might depend on how many items you have or data you have on your account since I noticed people receive the notice at a different amount of outfits compared to me. All I know is my limit right at this moment is 42.

@Ashethics There isn't a limit, Barbie hasn't tweeted out, some outfit will NOT save, due to the outfits you have it's 30 outfits, if you want lag, data loss, or not SAVING, since there was a warning past 30 outfits.
