- The souks are amongst the greatest attractions and are full of really great buys including spices, dates, nuts, leather, pottery, carpets and jewellery. Be prepared to haggle and haggle hard – it's the natural way, and be sure to pack your sense of humour too for when their enthusiasm for getting you to buy becomes just too much…
- A must-see is the main square Jemaa el-Fna and it is well worth getting there as the sun goes down to see how the square changes. If you can get up high, maybe with a mint tea in one of the surroundings cafes, you will be rewarded with a fascinating spectacle.
- And don't leave Marrakech without a trip to a local Hamman.
