Do you need to find a product code on an H&M item? I’m here to help. Perhaps you’ve found an item and want to make a note of it to find online later, or maybe you’re checking in-store to see if they have something you’re after. Whatever the reason, it’s easy to do. Recently I found myself trying to find this out myself, and after a quick Google, I’m happy to see I’m not the only one.

I have a pair of jeans that I have worn to death and wanted to see if H&M still had them in stock so I could buy another pair. I had long since thrown away the price tag and I had originally bought them in the store, so I didn’t have the online confirmation with all the details to check the product code to it either. After some research, I found out how. Keep reading for everything you need to know, and next read how to find the product code on Zara clothing.

Where exactly is the product code on H&M items?

After some research I found that the product code is printed on the inside of tags, right next to “P/N”. Once you have the product code you can then search the item online and see if they still have it in stock. It’s that easy. Luckily for me they still had them in stock. Now you’ll be able to find your product code quickly and easily also.

If you want to share a product code with someone you can also find it online under ‘Description & Fit’ within the product description. This is located underneath the main image, and you’ll need to extend the description by clicking the arrow in the top right hand corner. It will have the ‘article number,’ which is also the product number.

If this isn’t quite working via the product code, why not search H&M by an image? Like ASOS, H&M also offers this option on the app and it comes in really useful. Simply open the app, tap the camera icon in the right hand corner, take a photo or upload one from your photo library, crop it to fit the precise item you’re looking for, then hit search. The app will then show you a selection of similar items.
