Q. Spill it! In the finale of “The Closer,” who was revealed as the mole, and how and why did Brenda Leigh Johnson leave her job?
A. Well, the mole was revealed in the secondto- last episode, titled “Armed Response.” It was Ann Mason (Shanti Lowry), the girlfriend of Det. Sgt. David Gabriel (Corey Reynolds). And Brenda didn’t leave her job – she became the chief investigator at the DA’s office, accompanied by Gabriel. This was to honor Kyra Sedgwick’s wish to leave the show and make room for the successor series, “Major Crimes. Q. There is an actress on “The Young and the Restless” who plays Beth, the landlady where Tim Reed lives. Could you please tell me who this actress is and what program she played on years ago? A. That is none other than Brett Butler, who was the volatile star of the ABC sitcom “Grace Under Fire,” which ran from 1993 to 1998. Q.We watch “NCIS: Los Angeles “ and we’re interested in the character of Hetty. What other shows has she appeared on? A. Linda Hunt, who plays Hetty Lange, played Dr. Clare Bryson on several episodes of “Without a Trace.” She also played Judge Zoey Hiller on the ABC series “The Practice,” which was a precursor to “Boston Legal.” And she’s appeared on episodes of “The Unit,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Carnivale.” In the movies, she won an Oscar as Billy Kwan in the 1985 film “The Year of Living Dangerously,” and she also appeared in the films “Stranger Than Fiction” and “Yours, Mine and Ours” ‚(euro) “ and in the Disney movie “Pocahontas” she supplied the voice of Grandmother Willow. Q. Can you please let us know if the series “Touch” with Kiefer Sutherland will be back on Fox this upcoming season? I really enjoyed it, and usually when they find out (somehow) I like a show, they take it off!
