Why uniforms are a bad idea (2024)

Uniforms is hotly contested because some think that kids should wear uniforms because it helps other kids not get bullied. Some kids deserve to dress the way they want to dress. Kids should be able to dress the way they want to because it makes them feel comfortable. One reason I think kids should wear uniforms is that they should be able to wear things that they want to without getting bullied for something that everyone has to wear. "Kids that go to school, skip school because other kids get bullied." That's why parents worry about sending their kids to school because of bullying. “Parents say that kids should wear uniforms because of gang colors." Some parents have concerns about if schools will have shootings or if they have threats. "Some parents call the schools and complain about uniforms expensive because some parents can't afford uniforms." This is important because schools should make kids comfortable because kids matter and they deserve to feel comfortable and be able to focus more on school than not feeling comfortable about how there uniforms feel.

Another reason I think uniforms are a bad thing is because kids should be able to make themselves feel comfortable because when kids don't feel comfortable they act differently. "Students complain that uniforms are uncomfortable and they feel stifled while wearing them.” Kids are always complaining about how bad they are uncomfortable." Wearing itchy and tight clothes in class can make it difficult for a student to focus on academics." Many kids always complain at school on how uncomfortable they are. "Kids often miss school and there attendance goes crazy because of uniforms." This is important because kids need the freedom to dress the way they want to without needing to follow the uniform policy.

Kids get bullied because the things kids wear and how they look in a uniform that's why they should not be wearing uniforms. "Proponents of the uniforms usually say that uniforms put a stop to bullying and gang activity," that's why students are wanting to not wear uniforms. "Some students don't feel they look good in the required uniforms, though leading to feeling of insecurity and self-consciousness." that's why students prefer not to wear uniforms."

Wealthy students have created a hierarchy by wearing brand name dress shirts, expensive shoes, watches, and jewelry."Some people say that uniforms prevent a lot of things from happening at school. Kids think that not wearing uniforms is better because of all the jugged metal kids. "Kids these days dress in their own way," that’s why it’s better to have kids dress in their own way. "As long as teenagers have been interested in fashion, there have been conflict over school dress codes." Says jo paoletti. This means that kids need to be free and give teachers the chance to wear regular clothes instead of uniforms. The issue of uniforms is that no one can agree to not having uniforms and everyone thinks that they need uniforms but others think that we don't need uniforms.
