About Hunter Douglas NV
The Company operates under the brand names, such as: Hunter Douglas, Luxaflex, Duette, Silhouette, Vignette, Pirouette, Facette, Techstyle and 3form, among others.
Most would agree that Hunter Douglas is generally more expensive than Graber, but they do offer a top-of-the-line, high-quality product that will last and look as good as new for years to come. Graber also offers a very high-quality product but usually at a lower price point.
Both single cell and double cell shades have sound absorption properties, but in the same way that a double cell shade offers better insulating capabilities, it also offers better noise reduction capabilities. The double cell design is better at trapping both air and noise.
Wood blinds are favored due to their warm appearance, though they can be difficult to maintain in rooms that have a lot of moisture, like bathrooms, or humid climates. While they work with any size windows, they're particularly ideal for larger windows, as wood slats weigh less than their faux-wood counterparts.
“Traditional items such as shutters and Roman shades are popular in many areas.” Pulliam says that roller and solar shades are some of the fastest-growing products because they are now available in a variety of colors and transparencies. These are popular window treatment options.
In 2022, simplicity and minimalism are emerging in curtain and drapery styles. Less fluff and more flow are the way to go when choosing new curtains for your home. Classic materials like cotton and linen are top of the trend list to match the light, relaxing, naturalist themes this year.
Should blinds match trim or wall color?
If you love a modern or subtle look, then the best rule of thumb is to match your blinds to your trim color rather than your wall color. Here the blinds match the white columns, not the olive green walls that dominate the space.
Undeniably, Roller Shades continue to be forecasted as the leading window covering trend in 2022 largely due to their minimalistic style. Roller shades are also available in a variety of earth tone colors, textures and hardware options, making them an ideal choice for the trending naturistic color pallet.
In terms of living room blinds that insulate really well simply because of what they're made of, any type of faux-wood or real wooden blinds will do a grand job. Regular Roman blinds tend to perform pretty well as insulators too, as they are made of fairly heavy, thick fabrics.
Sheers: Layers of sheers, drapes, and blinds can make windows look outdated. Experiment by leaving the other layers and removing the sheers. Blinds and Shades: Shades are necessary when you need to block out sunlight, but some rooms need all the light they can get.
