You can get your birth control implant removed at your local Planned Parenthood health center.
Getting your birth control implant — also called Nexplanon — can cost anywhere between $0 and $1,300. Implant removal can cost between $0 and $300. But the good news is that implants are totally free (or low cost) with most.

The implant can be removed at any time by a specially trained doctor or nurse. It only takes a few minutes to remove, and a local anaesthetic will be used. The doctor or nurse will make a tiny cut in your skin to gently pull the implant out.
Your arm may swell a little. There could be some bruising in the area that might last a couple weeks. But generally, you should feel fine after they remove your implant. Any side effects that you had with Nexplanon -- like weight gain, headache, acne, and mood swings -- might ease once the implant is gone.
After removing an implant, it takes an average of 3 to 8 months to get pregnant (1). 77% to 86% of people conceive within 12 months (17–20).
2. Can implants be left in a woman's arm? Leaving the implants in place beyond their effective lifespan is generally not recommended if the woman continues to be at risk of pregnancy. The implants themselves are not dangerous, but as the hormone levels in the implants drop, they become less and less effective.
The time frame for conceiving after using Implanon is generally thought to be the same as when stopping other forms of hormonal contraception. In terms of long term infertility risk, Implanon does not seem to be a problem. Some women become fertile again immediately once the Implanon is removed.
What happens when you remove Implanon?
Once the implant is removed, there is no protection against pregnancy. Women are advised to use other methods of birth control like contraceptive pills or condoms if they do not want to get pregnant. One should use a back-up method for the first seven days post removal.
To stop using the implant it needs to be removed by a doctor or nurse. This involves an injection of local anaesthetic and a small cut to the skin to find the tip of the implant and remove it. It usually takes 5–10 minutes.
Clinical studies show that you can get pregnant as early as 7-14 days after implant removal. A mistake during the removal of the implant from the skin can also affect the recovery time of fertile function of the woman.

After the Nexplanon implant is removed, it is required that one watches for some signs of warning. There may be some numbness in the arm for a few days. As the numbness wears off, one may experience soreness for a day or two. During this period, over-the-counter pain relievers can be taken to relieve the pain.
Most people return to their normal menstrual cycle and fertility within a month of removing the implant. If you do not want to be pregnant you need to use other contraception as soon as it is removed.
