Absolutely no trainers or sports shoes allowed. Otherwise the dress code is smart casual.

How long does a visit to The Shard take?
Visitors recommend preparing to spend at least 1 hour at the Shard, but you may want to set aside at least 2 hours if you plan on relaxing here or maybe eat at one of the many restaurants.
What is this? You don't need to make a booking to enjoy some decadent co*cktails at Aqua Shard Bar. In fact, the bar operates on a walk-in basis only and reservations aren't taken.
This place has a cool atmosphere, and it's a very nice alternative to overpaying to just get to an observation deck on the Shard. Drinks are expensive (about 17 quid for a co*cktail) and we stuck to the Veuve Clicquot glasses (you can get a scoop of elderflower sorbet as one co*cktail).
Get yourself a nice pair of leather trainers (be they suede or even slip-on) for a chic addition to your smart-casual ensemble. Just remember the “no other sportswear items rule” and you'll be golden.

You can pair sneakers with jeans, khakis and chinos. You may even wear sneakers with some skirts for a more athletic smart-casual look for women.
In terms of material for your smart casual shoe choices, opt for suede for a well-textured, quasi-formal touch. A great pair of sneakers can also be a perfect accompaniment but keep in mind that you should opt for clean, minimalist styles (classic converse or leather sneakers are an easy go-to).
Main courses are priced at around £40 (47.50€), starters from £15 (17.50€) and desserts from £10 (11.50€) in general. If you want your experience at The Shard to be as complete as possible, don't hesitate to eat at one of the restaurants in the building: Gŏng, Tīng, Sky Lounge or Bar 31.
