I doubt it. From what she says, Mito's view of Ging changed dramatically when he first brought Gon back to Whale Island with him. She fought in court to gain custody of Gon and went so far as to tell Gon that Ging was dead his entire life.

Mito Freecss (ミト＝フリークス) is the aunt, and also the young foster mother/guardian of Gon Freecss. In the 1999 HxH anime series, she is reveal to be the oldest daughter of Abe and the sister of Gon's mother who is her younger sister. Including the sister in law of Gon's father, Ging Freecss.
