Does Jack have a son lost?
Jack's son in the afterlife reflects his relationship with his own father. Season 6 of "Lost" offers a seemingly alternative timeline of events where Oceanic Flight 815 doesn't crash on the Island. In this timeline, Jack has married and divorced Juliet, and had a son with her named David.
David is Kate and Jack's son. It only about three weeks between the night they slept together on the eve of the Guam flight and when Jack dies and Kate leaves the island. Kate raises David and the afterlife gives him an opportunity to build a relationship with his father.
Jack's dad's body ended up on the sunken island during the flight when the plane shook. The coffin was never loaded onto the plane.

At Christian Shephard's memorial service, Carole Littleton, who has recovered from her coma, tells Jack she and Christian had a relationship which produced Claire, revealing her to be Jack's half-sister. Eventually, before departing to return to the island, Kate reveals to Carole that Aaron is Claire's son.

After his death and reappearance on the island, Christian becomes a very mysterious figure, acting as a messenger for the even more mysterious Jacob. Christian is able to appear anywhere, both on and off the island, at will, and intervenes several times to stop Michael's suicide attempts.
