Does Michael Myers have a weakness?
Michael only kills on or around October 31, unlike other slashers who can go on murder sprees at any moment and for as long as they please. Another possible weakness of Michael Myers could be his obsession with his targets, namely Laurie and Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris), Laurie's daughter in the first timeline.
The only real weakness that Michael Myers has is that he has an obsession with Halloween. He only really kills on or around this date, with very few exceptions. He once sat quietly in a cave for almost an entire year, waiting for the end of October. Once it got close enough, he got up and started killing.

His disorders
Michael has a disorder called catatonia. Michael Myers is sometimes disabled from moving whenever he either sits or stands. This makes sense because it explains why Michael walks after his victims rather than runs. He exhibits stupor also which is an inherited disorder.
Theory: Michael Myers Wants To Spread Fear, Not Just Kill
Killing his older sister when he was just six-years-old, and on Halloween night, was a good recipe to spread fear all over Haddonfield and beyond, but that obviously sent him to Smith's Grove, where he continued spreading fear, although differently.
Dr. Sartain said "He can speak, he just chooses not to." Except after 40+ years of not saying a word, wouldn't his vocal cord muscles atrophy by now? So even if he wanted to speak, he would no longer be able to (at least temporarily).
Michael does not speak in the films; the first time audiences ever hear his voice is in the 2007 Rob Zombie reboot. Michael speaks as a child during the beginning of the film, but while in Smith's Grove he stops talking completely.

The sad*stic killer basically becomes fascinated with killing Laurie throughout subsequent installments – including Halloween Kills – because she's the one that got away. By taking him down temporarily and living to tell the tale in the original, the two are tied together.
Why did Michael Myers start killing?
It is later revealed in Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, that Michael is likely under the control of the Cult of Thorn, which is an ancient Druid curse that requires him to kill every living member in his entire bloodline.
Taking place 40 years after the original, Myers was 61 years old, and still creating chaos like a 21 year old. In next year's direct sequel Halloween Kills, the action picks up on the same night in 2018. Similar to Halloween II (1981), Myers will be the same age as the previous film: 61.
Thus, many fans believe that Michael wears the mask to keep his evil from being seen, and in a way that it remains personal to him. Furthermore, Michael's mask is his overall identity. His previous identity as a child was stripped after he murdered his sister in cold blood and was sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium.
Nicholas Rogers elaborates, "Myers is depicted as a mythic, elusive bogeyman, one of superhuman strength who cannot be killed by bullets, stab wounds, or fire."
John Carpenter's twist with Halloween's killer Michael Myers was to give the character a supernatural edge, where it's unknown if he's actually human or something else. He hired friend Nick Castle to play Michael for the majority of the character's appearances, mostly due to his background in dance.
Michael can teleport
The masked killer attacks without a motive, and can appear and disappear with relative ease. You never know when or where Michael will pop up, but rest assured, once he has his sights on a victim, he will do whatever it takes to hunt them down.
Enhanced Strength: Michael possesses superhuman strength to the point where he could lift people off the ground, crush people's heads, smash through walls, and he is also capable of driving his thumb into craniums. He did this on a doctor in Halloween 4.
