How do you price crochet items on Etsy?
So, I had to come up with a formula that worked better for me. Materials – the price of your skeins of yarn and any other items you had to have for your project. Labor – figure out how much you want to make per hour and multiply that by the number of hours it took to make your item.
Many crocheters will charge the following: Just the yarn costs, no extra play money and will donate the time. Double or Triple the yarn costs which covers the expenses and throws a bit more extra so you can have some play money. A cost per hour which may or may not include the cost of yarn.
The crochet market is saturated on Etsy.
But, as I looked through those listings, I found that some of those listings were for supplies, some were gifts for crocheters (t-shirts and mugs, etc), some were for machine-made items that weren't crochet at all, some were patterns, and some were finished products.

How much should you charge on Etsy?
Double your wholesale price to get your retail price.
Take the wholesale price for your item, which accounts for all of your costs and labor, and multiply it by 2. Use that value as your standard retail price for your item.
Selling on Etsy is worth it in 2022 because it's one of the quickest, cheapest, and easiest ways to get your handmade products online and hooked up with a shopping cart function. It's also a low-risk option when compared to building a website.

Extended dry times on high heat can add more wear on your pieces. Most of your crocheted garments will dry much faster than you'd think, and cutting down on machine drying time is great for the environment! If in doubt, I roll the excess water out with a bath towel and dry it flat on a clean surface.
