How do you fix a gaping neckline on a dress?
If you find it's gaping once you've already sewn it, try steam pressing it first as often this can fix the problem. But if it's still too loose, unpick it, shorten the neckband by 1-2.5cm (3/8-1in) by sewing the ends together a bit further in, and attach it to the neckline again.
Just use Hollywood Fashion Tape (or other pre-cut double-sided tape) to lock down the gap. And it was easy! I just worried over the tape peeling away throughout the day. While I never had any major mishaps I did have to subtly press down on the gap to re-stick my shirt together several times throughout the day.

What does Gap stand for?
The Gap originally targeted the younger generation when it opened, with its name referring to the generation gap of the time. It originally sold everything that Levi Strauss & Co made in every style, size, and color, and organized the stock by size. The Gap was the first of many shops that carried only Levi's.
We believe Gap should be a force for good. Our purpose is to create change that is sustainable, to enrich communities, and to be better for this generation and the next. We design products with better materials and strive to make a positive impact for people and our planet.
Armhole gaping can occur for a few reasons: the bust dart is the incorrect size or missing, the armhole design cuts into the bodice without the proper contouring, or the starting pattern is designed for a sleeve and is being converted to a sleeveless design.
