Is Culver's better than McDonalds?
Review of Culver's. If you have been to Culver's you can expect it to be served slower than the golden arches but overall better tasting food and a lot more variety. While I don't like as well as say Freddy's it is slightly better than the average fast food joint.
Our ButterBurgers® are made with our special blend of three cuts of beef: sirloin, chuck and plate. All prized cuts, all well-marbled for richness and flavor with no fillers to get in the way. When it comes to beef, you want fresh beef. Frozen beef loses moisture and when you lose moisture, you lose flavor.
The list uses data from Technomic to find the chains with the best reputations when it comes to areas including service, ambience, convenience, quality, and value. With roughly 600 restaurants in 24 states, Culver's is closer in size to regional classics like In-N-Out than burger giants like McDonald's.
Frozen custard is also traditionally made fresh wherever it's being sold. Culvers is no exception here. The chain makes its frozen custard fresh in batches throughout each day, which is why you're limited to just three flavors – vanilla, chocolate and the unique “flavor of the day” that varies by location.
All Culver's ButterBurgers use fresh, never frozen, 100 percent Midwest-raised, grain-fed beef from three cuts: chuck, sirloin and plate. Served on a lightly buttered bun, guests can order ButterBurgers in the form of Classic, Cheddar, Deluxe and the popular Mushroom & Swiss.

What a lot of folks don't know is why it's called a ButterBurger. We call our ButterBurgers “ButterBurgers,” not because they've been cooked, marinated, dunked, fried or drizzled with butter but because we lightly butter the crown of the bun for an extra touch of goodness.
Reading through the Reddit thread, I only found one worth answer (ignoring one from a Culver's employee stating that the pickle on top is the “seal of approval,” per the Butter Burger University regulations) — the pickle is placed delicately on top of each burger in order to signify that pickles are inside.
Which state has the most Culvers?

Custard is made from a combination of milk, cream and pasteurized egg yolks, and in order to be true custard, it has to be at least 1.4 percent egg. Anything less than that, and it's just ice cream. Discover why we craft in small batches.

This story is a years-old falsehood related to a 2013 scandal in which European meat suppliers sold horse meat advertised as beef. Burger King cut off one of its suppliers in response. But as the AP reported at the time, Burger King said it conducted DNA tests on its burgers and found no traces of horse meat.
Every one of our McDonald's burgers is made with 100% pure beef and cooked and prepared with salt, pepper and nothing else—no fillers, no additives, no preservatives. The dish contains 14 grams of fat in total, nine of which are saturated fats. With 95 milligrams of cholesterol and 29 grams of sugar, a cup of chocolate custard is not exactly a diet-friendly food. Add a cone on top of that, and the overall dish is pretty heavy.

The service was top-notch and the decor was homey. Thankfully, the food was just as great. The chicken, the burger, and the custard were all so good that I think they would easily beat out the bigger fast-food companies in a taste test. In fact, Culver's has become my favorite fast-food meal.
Use cold, wet hands when making the patties, and let the meat rest in the fridge until you're ready to hit the grill. We want the fat in the patties to be super chilled so it rapidly expands when exposed to heat, creating flavor pockets inside the patty. This leads to a burger with a nice sear and maximum juicy flavor.
