History Hit doesn't mention an app for ChromeOS, except there is a dedicated one for Chromebooks. It's got good coverage on the TV side as well. You can download the app for the Apple TV, Roku, Android TV (or Google TV), Amazon Fire TV, or cast via Chromecast.

History Hit TV offers two subscription packages---monthly and annual. History Hit TV costs $4.99/month or $49.99/year. Paying annually effectively provides you with two free months per year, but there are no refunds if you want to cancel midway through the billing period.
Follow these steps to log in: Add the History Hit Amazon channel to your Amazon Fire TV. Open the History Hit Amazon channel on your Amazon Fire TV and click SIGN IN. It will give you an activation code.
Navigate to the apps section of your Samsung TV and select “get more apps” Click on the search icon and search for “HISTORY” Enjoy all your favorite shows.

This is a great app if you like history documentaries. It's extremely affordable compared to similar apps, and there are tons of short documentaries that you can watch in 25 minutes or less. There are also entire series'available that go further in-depth with the subject matter.
It is not possible to subscribe directly to HISTORY at this time. You can unlock all content in the HISTORY apps and on History.com by signing in through a supported TV provider that includes the HISTORY channel in your TV package.

Using the History Hit Roku channel, you can view the content easily on your TV. 3rd generation Roku devices and higher are supported for up to 1080p playback. Roku 4 and higher support 4K playback. Older Roku devices are not supported.
You can Chromecast videos from History Hit iOS app to your Chromecast device on the same local network. Note: At this time, we do not support Chromecast devices that some TVs have built-in. While it may work, our player is not developed to support this and we cannot troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Almost every show on the History channel is available on Netflix. Start watching Ancient Aliens online, stream Pawn Stars and check out “The Bible” if you feel so inclined.
