Is it possible to redirect a UPS package?
We can reroute your package to another address, in certain cases. You can request we hold onto your package for you to pick up at a UPS location.
You can request delivery changes online through your shipping history and the tracking page, WorldShip®, UPS CampusShip®, or Quantum View®.
UPS Delivery Intercept is available for all small package deliveries, excluding packages using UPS SonicAir service. UPS Delivery Intercept costs $10 per interception and because of the reliability of the new system, is charged only on completion of the intercept.
UPS may make up to three delivery attempts at its discretion at your address on regular UPS delivery days. After the final attempt, undeliverable packages will be returned to the sender. To prevent your package from being returned or to make alternate delivery arrangements, track your package.
You can request an intercept from the tracking detail page when tracking your package or you can follow the steps below to request one from your shipping history. Please note: you must request an intercept prior to the first delivery attempt.
We do not charge to redirect packages to UPS customer centers, The UPS Store locations, or UPS Access Point locations. UPS My Choice members will have a fee for delivery change requests to any other addresses. Please know changing the delivery address of your package could delay your scheduled delivery date.
You may also change your delivery address on ups.com. Select the Tracking tab and enter your 12-digit InfoNotice number (found above the barcode) in the Tracking or InfoNotice numbers field, and select the Track button. On the Tracking Summary page, select the Change Delivery button.
- Select the Tracking tab along the top of this page.
- Enter your Tracking Number and go to the Tracking Details page.
- Choose the Correct My Address button.
- In the Address Modification window, choose an option from the drop-down menu in the New Delivery Address section.
If the driver delivered your shipment to an alternate location, you should have received a UPS InfoNotice that indicates where the shipment was left (for example, a neighbor's house or leasing office). Check with others at your address, or perhaps a neighbor, to see if someone else has picked up the package.
For a fee, USPS Package Intercept® lets the sender or recipient stop delivery or redirect a package, letter, or flat that is not out for delivery or already delivered. Most domestic mailings with a tracking or extra services barcode are eligible for Package Intercept. You can only request a Package Intercept online.
