Is Jacquemus a LVMH?
The self-taught designer's playful collections has earned him a finalist spot and a special prize for the LVMH Prize in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Neither Vetements, Jacquemus nor Ganni are under the umbrella of Kering or LVMH, as did star designers of previous generations. In addition, its brands are positioned in a segment of the market that is closer to premium than luxury, and with an aesthetic closer to the new codes of athleisure and streewear.
Simon Porte Jacquemus, the founder and designer of Jacquemus, launched his brand at 19, which is inspired by the South of France and women like his late mother and grandmother. He won LVMH's coveted Special Jury Prize in 2015.

In 2017, Jacquemus added a footwear brand alongside his womenswear offering, and launched menswear in 2019. The brand has been recognised by the fashion industry multiple times. In 2014, Jacquemus was a finalist in the LVMH Prize, receiving the Special Jury Prize in the LVMH Prize a year later in 2015.
Jacquemus is gaining more and more in popularity as the Lyst index of Q2 2020 shows. The brand is placed among the top luxury brands.

Jacquemus, named after his late mother Valérie Jacquemus, quickly garnered the attention of Paris' fashion elite and at just 22 years old, he landed a spot on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule, making him one of the youngest designers ever to do so.
Price tag wise think 350€ for a jacket, 200-300€ for a dress. Visits are by appointment only.
While its competitors, such as Prada , Balenciaga and, Saint Laurent, have an average price at more than €1,000, Jacquemus does not even exceed half of it.
What is special about Jacquemus?
Jacquemus is a finalist for the LMVH's Prize for Young Designers. He receives the LVMH Special Jury Prize, and the same year leads a white horse down the runway of his SS16 collection causing much FROW furore. The brand is reported to have generated over $5 million in sales.
In terms of product range, Retviews found that Jacquemus is more focused on clothes than accessories, unlike fashion's top labels, for which handbags and footwear account for the largest share of the range, up to 75%. Jacquemus's product range is instead split roughly in half between ready-to-wear and accessories.
