The age I would recommend for this book is 10+. So basically this book is for preteens and tweens. I would also recommend this book for people having a hard time dealing with people in school, or are being bullied. They can then compare to Nikki, the main Character.

You don't necessarily need to read the Dork Diaries in order, but we still recommend starting with book one to get the background. The Dork Diaries reading level is perfect for kids 8+ and the diary book style makes them fun and easy to read.
She is revealed to be African-American in the first book due to Nikki stating it.
