What do people wear to clubs in Scottsdale?
Most clubs open around 10pm and their dress code is very lax compared to other big cities. Wear basic club attire, dress to impress and you'll be fine in most cases. You can get into some places wearing shorts, t-shirts, sneakers or hats but you have limited your options.
In general, if it's going to be hot, make sure to pack plenty of light and airy clothing, including summer dresses to tank tops. Always bring comfortable walking shoes, of course, but also flip flops and sandals to air out your feet.

A lightweight jacket or tailored cape provides an extra layer of warmth when the sun sets. Women feel right at home wearing T-shirts or blouses and capri pants or slacks, from hotel to restaurant to museum. Men are comfortable wearing jeans or khakis and a T-shirt or button-down shirt.
The most you will need in Phoenix in January is a lightweight jacket, lined windbreaker, or blazer. I have done fine for the last 30 yrs wearing a denim jacket or sports hoodie.

Fall Season – October through November
Pack light layers including shorts and pants, short and long-sleeved shirts and a light sweater or jacket for evenings. Again, sandals are comfortable for daytime activities in town but shoes or boots are your best choice for recreational activities.
