What Happened to My Scene dolls?
Mattel ceased selling My Scene dolls in the US in 2008, but continued to sell the dolls internationally, until Mattel ceased production on the My Scene line as a whole in the year of 2011.
The My Scene site is no longer available nor is the EverythingGirl site. The My Scene site closed in 2014 along with the Pixel Chix site and others. However, some of the games from the original website were still available on Mattel's website for a few years but are now no longer available again.
Due to the poor reception and sales, the dolls were once again discontinued in 2016. In September 2018, a new line of dolls called "Bratz Collector" were designed by fashion illustrator Hayden Williams and released exclusively on Amazon. The brand featured closely resemblance to the original 2001 doll line.
Barbara "Barbie" Millicent Roberts was one of the first My Scene girls to be introduced as a doll and appeared in all three of the My Scene movies. In 2006, she moved to California and was replaced by Kennedy.
There are seven characters in the My Scene series (Kennedy, Madison, Chelsea, Delancey, Nia, Hudson, and River), six discontinued characters (Barbie, Nolee, Kenzie, Bryant, Ellis, and Sutton) and four special edition dolls (Lindsay, Jai, Tyson and Ryan).

The Court Case
Of course, Mattel sued both Bryant and MGA, claiming that Mattel owned Bratz and sought an injunction stop them from selling Bratz dolls. Mattel argued that, because Bryant had the idea for the Bratz dolls while working for Mattel, Mattel owned that intellectual property.
5), Mattel sued MGA. As the case slowly made its way to trial, Bratz sales continued to soar.
In the latest round of what has been an epic legal battle, a new lawsuit by MGA Entertainment, the company that makes Bratz dolls, accuses Mattel and Barbie of carrying out a campaign of corporate espionage in what it calls "one of the most heavily contested trade secret cases in American history."
My Scene's bodies are the regular Barbie bodies. Yes, Barbie can wear them BUT MS shoes are increased in size.
Who invented Scene dolls?
First Collection was the first My Scene doll line. This line was released in 2002, and it was designed by Lily Martinez. The line introduced the three main dolls/characters, Barbie, Chelsea, and Madison.
What's Her Face was a line of customizable dolls that straddled the line between traditional fashion dolls and creative activity toys. Made by Mattel, the line ran from 2001–2003, and enjoyed only a modest success in a market dominated by Mattel's iconic Barbie and MGA Entertainment's Bratz dolls.
Mattel introduced My Scene dolls in the fall season of 2002 to compete with MGA's Bratz. The series originally consisted of three female characters with diverse ethnicities and personalities; Mattel added more dolls over time. Its three original dolls, Barbie, Madison, and Chelsea, each came with two extra fashions.
Liv dolls are ~12-inch tall, highly articulated plastic dolls with changeable wigs and inset eyes. Several other doll companies have made mass-market play dolls with changeable wigs at this point, but as far as I know, Liv was the first girl on the block to have one.
Bratz: The Movie
The official reason Mattel gave for the closure of the site was "BarbieGirls.com is closing as the Barbie brand is exploring new opportunities where girls can experience the best of Barbie.
