What happens when you pause Prime?
When you pause your membership, we won't bill you at the end of your current billing cycle. You won't have access to your Amazon Prime benefits while your membership is paused, but you can resume your Prime membership at any time at the then current rate for your selected Prime membership plan.
We know there are times when you won't be using Course Hero—like over the summer or during winter break—so Premier Memberships* can be paused once per month. Once your membership resumes (either automatically or as the result of your unpausing it), you cannot pause again for another 30 days.
The main difference is that a member with a paused account can still log in and access protected content they had access to up until their account was paused.
Rewind, pause and fast forward are available on Android/iOS Mobile, Web (Chrome, FireFox, Edge), Fire TV, Apple TV (Gen 3) & selected Smart TVs. Use Watch from beginning play buttons on the detail page or in player to watch from start.
When you do actually cancel your Amazon Prime membership, your benefits won't end immediately. Instead, you will still be able to use the benefits until the end of the current membership period. Once that current pay period is over, your Amazon Prime benefits will end.
If you cancel at any other time, we will refund your full membership fee only if you and your account did not make any eligible purchases or take advantage of Prime benefits since your latest Prime membership charge.
