What is A&M Blinn TEAM?
The Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program is a collaborative, co-enrollment partnership between Texas A&M University and the Blinn College District. Students are selected for TEAM by Texas A&M University, through their freshman admissions process. Selected students then co-enroll at Blinn and Texas A&M.
There is no way to apply directly to the TEAM Program. Program Requirements: The basic requirements of TEAM include completion of 45 credit hours at Blinn College and 15 credit hours at Texas A&M during the two-year program.
Admissions numbers are offered from the A&M website (picture below). Their overall acceptance rate is 60% (21,676 out of 35, 667 apps), but those are including the PSA and TEAM program students. Students who are admitted under the Top 10% rule make up about half of the accepted students (10,830/21, 676).
Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn students take all their Engineering Academy classes together, but this program does not offer a campus living option for these participants – these students live off campus and commute between the RELLIS Campus in Bryan and Texas A&M University in College Station for their courses.
Blinn College is a community college based in Brenham with a location near Texas A&M in Bryan that has strong transfer partnerships with Texas A&M, but it is not part of the Texas A&M system. In 2020, the college said 53% of its transfer students continue their studies at Texas A&M.
Am I eligible to rush? In order to be eligible to rush, you must be taking classes at Texas A&M University, College Station campus. Blinn Team is eligible to rush if they are taking at least one class at Texas A&M; however, Full Blinn and Texas A&M RELLIS students do not fall under IFC rush eligibility.
Successful completion of the program requires that participants have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, which must include at least 45 credit hours of transferable Blinn College course work applicable to the student's intended degree program at TAMU and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on at least 15 TAMU credit hours ...
