By the end of the series, Vanessa and Dan are still together. They partake in a long-distance relationship as she remains in the city (attending NYU) and he moves to study literature at Evergreen.

Serena goes to Yale at the end of the series. Similar to the television adaptation, she dates a variety of different boys, including Nate, whom she lost her virginity to. Through the books, she realize that she truly loves Nate, but he is still Blair's boyfriend.
The expected loss of 16-year-old Jenny Humphrey's virginity was the centerpiece of last night's episode of Gossip Girl.
Nate wishes to break free from the life his family planned, which includes an Ivy League College, law school, marrying Blair (although he still wants to be with her on his own terms), and all the superficialities of the Upper East Side.
In the finale, Dan makes a comment that Jenny had known he was Gossip Girl for years, and that he would only write about her when she asked him to.
Why do Sage and Nate break up?
Nate realizes that Sage is probably dating other guys and calls her to say he isn't interested in her anymore. Hurt, Sage decides to go The Conservancy Gala, where she knows Nate will be.
While visiting her brother in prison, Juliet reveals that she drugged Serena and even shocks Ben (David Call) for what she has done, saying that drugging her is going to far in their plans to ruin her.

Szohr left the show after discussing with producers on the direction of her character, having felt that her portrayal of Vanessa had run its course. "I had so much fun and I made friends I'll have for a lifetime and it was so great to work in the city, but I got the most I could out of Vanessa."
Despite her father's reputation as an evil scientist, Vanessa has no intention to do evil and generally acts like a sarcastic but normal teenager caring about her own reputation, especially when her clothing gets accidentally switched with Candace's clothing.
