Why did Blair choose Chuck over Dan?
Chair For the Win? Blair chose Chuck! After an internal debate about which love is better—with Dan she feels safe, with Chuck she feels vulnerable—Blair ended up choosing Chuck.
Throughout seasons four and five, the two go back and forth with their relationship. In the season five finale The Return of the Ring, Blair chooses to be with Chuck and they make a pact to ensure they end up together. In the series finale New York, I Love You XOXO, the two get married.
But as it turns out, Joshua Safran, a writer and producer from the original show, revealed exactly which character was originally meant to be in Dan's shoes as Gossip Girl. He admitted that it was never meant to be Dan, but rather Nate Archibald who ran the notorious blog detailing the secrets of Manhattan's elite.
Dan Humphrey and Blair Waldorf do not have a friendship or romantic relationship in the Gossip Girl novels, although some tension is portrayed.
In the Fifth Season, Dan still possessed feelings for Blair. Blair, however, had seemed to have forgotten any romantic feelings towards Dan due to her upcoming marriage to Prince Louis Grimaldi of Monaco. However, Blair ends up not being happy because she still has romantic feelings for Chuck.

Why did Dan and Vanessa stop being friends?
Season Three. During the premiere, Reversals of Fortune, Vanessa is turned off by Dan being integrated into the UES world when Rufus begins a relationship with Lily van der Woodsen. She's especially hurt when Dan ignores her to help Blair carry out a scheme to help Serena.

The finale of Gossip Girl finally showed who was revealing the secrets of our favorite characters. Dan revealed in a Gossip Girl post publicly that he has been the writer all along.
Based on the costs of royal dowries in real life, one can assume that Blair's dowry cost between $15 million and $50 million.
Oddly adorable, no? Later, Blair finds Dan and apologizes...and brings up the infamous vows he wrote! "I could have never have survived this last month without you," Blair says.

This is the second car accident he's caused on the UES. Good thing Serena and Nate (Chace Crawford) caught him and now have evidence to prove he's basically a murderer.
Chuck learns that Dan was the one who sent the video of him and Blair at her wedding ceremony and sends a blast to Gossip Girl. However, Phil inadvertently leaves Chuck's name in the blast. William Van der Woodsen (William Baldwin) returns to the Upper East Side for the wake, and is the executor of CeCe's estate.
Blair says she can't forgive Chuck for sleeping with Jenny, but Serena points out that she never needs to talk to him after today. "I know you'll regret it if you do nothing and let him disappear," she adds.
How did Chuck betray Blair?
When Blair was in a relationship with the prince, Chuck became extremely jealous and possessive of her. He ended up grabbing her after she told him that she didn't want him anymore, and he threw her down to the ground while claiming that she belonged to him.

In the series finale, New York, I Love You XOXO, Dan reveals that he was Gossip Girl all along. He reasons that he did so in an attempt to write himself into the world of the Upper East Side. After he explains everything, he confesses that Gossip Girl is now dead and they can all move on with their lives.
Hurt, Serena breaks up with him and plans to move to Los Angeles. In The Revengers, Dan attempts to give her the last chapter of his serial series to convince her to stay in Manhattan. She reads it in the series finale, New York, I Love You XOXO, and learns that Dan was Gossip Girl all along.
Blair was, quite openly, an antagonist who did what she could to gain the upper hand over Constance Billard and then the whole Upper East Side. Her self-awareness and charming ways of revenge made her an instant favorite—Blair made no excuses for her devious nature and leaned into it.
