10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (2024)

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure villains were notorious for their deadly deeds. Many were responsible for killing innocent people and even a handful of heroes throughout their time in their respective arcs. This made them especially noteworthy since it emphasized how vital it was to defeat them.

However, a few stand out from the rest as exceptional agents of chaos. Combining immense power with a high body count, they were considered the deadliest antagonists of the entire anime. It made their presence more unnerving and their inevitable defeats more satisfying for fans to watch.

10 Sports Maximum Killed Ermes' Sister

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (1)

Sports Maximum was a minor antagonist in Stone Ocean. Having murdered Ermes' sister, his presence in prison was particularly convenient since it meant that she'd be able to take revenge against him. However, Sports did not go down easily.

His Stand's ability to survive after death allowed him to possess numerous items when attacking the heroes. Nonetheless, Ermes ultimately defeated him and received the closure she needed to move on with her life. Sports' power may have been strong, though he didn't use it as creatively as his opponent.

9 J. Geil Murdered Polnareff's Sister

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (2)

J .Geil is an unapologetically evil man who murdered Polnareff's sister. As a result, Polnareff joined the Crusaders. Although his first arc was to avenge his sibling, he eventually grew to understand the importance of the heroes' mission and agreed to continue alongside them after Geil's defeat.

However, the villain was as elusive as he was dangerous. Geil's "Hanged Man" Stand allowed him to emerge through reflective surfaces like mirrors and even the pupils of someone's eye. This meant that he could harry opponents with attacks with minimal risk to himself. It perfectly suited his dishonorable and cowardly personality.

8 Vanilla Ice Murdered Avdol, Iggy, & Possibly Others

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (3)

Vanilla Ice had a higher direct impact on the heroes than any other minor villain. During the Crusaders' foray into DIO's mansion, he ambushed Avdol and killed him instantly. The subsequent battle between him, Polnareff, and Iggy cost the latter's life, thinning the Crusaders' ranks considerably.

As DIO's right-hand henchman, it's also possible that he killed innocent people to procure his station, especially given that he was willing to die for the sake of his master. Vanilla Ice's fearlessness made him one of the heroes' greatest and most deadly challenges yet.

7 Yoshikage Kira Murdered Dozens Of Women

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (4)

Yoshikage Kira was a despicable mass murderer who lived in Morioh. His killings were fueled by a depraved lust for female hands, as he'd developed an interest in them since childhood.

Although women were Kira's primary target, he also showed a keen interest in eliminating those who threatened his lifestyle. For example, he killed Shigechi outside Morioh High School and murdered both Jotaro and Josuke in dozens of timelines created by "Bites The Dust." Kira would have even killed Okuyasu if not for Keicho Nijimura's urging of his brother not to pass on.

6 Gray Fly Was A Killer Without Motive

Gray Fly was a sinister old man who preyed on innocent people. He used his Stand to conduct his killings on essential transportation systems such as planes, boats, and even trains. Since ordinary people couldn't see Fly's ability, they failed to explain why those around them were dying en masse.

The "Tower Of Gray" Stand combined mobility with stealth and lethality, making it the perfect killing machine. Fortunately, Kakyoin ensnared him in Hierophant Green's webbing, then took the villain out for good.

5 Cioccolata Was A Murderer So Prolific That Even Diavolo Feared Him

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (6)

Cioccolata was an evil doctor who used his extensive medical knowledge to torture others. He proved so capable at his craft that he even managed to break one of his victims into assisting him. The man came to be known as Secco, and he was so devoted to his master that his Stand was even tailored to compliment him.

Cioccolata's "Green Day" Stand affected a wide radius and reduced its victims to a meaty pulp. He killed so freely that even Diavolo was disgusted by him and planned to kill him once he'd dealt with Bucciarati's team.

4 Pucci Enforced DIO's Will After His Death

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (7)

Before DIO's death, he entrusted Pucci with the plan to find Heaven. His apprentice proved a worthy successor, evolving his White Snake Stand into a nearly unstoppable, time-altering force unlike anything the heroes had seen before. Pucci's high ranking status within the prison optimized his effectiveness throughout the arc.

It allowed him to send Stand users after Jolyne, nearly kill Jotaro by stealing his disc, and even murder F.F by exploiting her plankton physiology. Pucci's cunning approach to conflict made him significantly more deadly than he otherwise would have been.

3 Diavolo Was Italy's Crime Boss

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (8)

Diavolo was the most prolific crime kingpin in all of Italy. Freely selling drugs to kids and using his Mafioso to enforce his rule, he was responsible for hundreds of indirect deaths.

However, that isn't to suggest that Diavolo never got his hands dirty. At the end of Golden Wind, he massacred the heroes through repeatedly erasing time and striking out at them. Diavolo was even willing to murder his own daughter, Trish, so that his identity would be preserved with certainty.

2 DIO Was The Series' Most Recurring Murderer

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (9)

DIO's role as the main antagonist in Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders gave him plenty of time to kill others. Given that Enya imbued many of his servants with their powers, the vampire was directly responsible for the deaths that came afterward.

Like Diavolo, DIO also killed more than his fair share of heroes. In Phantom Blood, he murdered George and Jonathan Joestar, making him the only villain to kill a main protagonist. His clash against Jotaro was similarly ruinous, costing the lives of Kakyoin and nearly Joseph Joestar before going down.

1 Kars Wiped Out His Own Race

10 Deadliest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Villains, Ranked (10)

Kars may not have killed any main heroes, but his origins were completely morbid. Before being entombed, he massacred his own race, with the four Pillar Men in Battle Tendency being its last remnants. This gave him a body count higher than any other antagonist in the entire series since no one was strong enough to oppose his evil.

Additionally, Kars was responsible for creating the stone mask. Therefore, he was partially to blame for all the innocent people that Dio killed in Phantom Blood. Without his gift, the schemer would have been much easier to foil.
