Moving right along with the summertime related posts, I wanted to do one for the ladies’ side of things, and focus on one of the most popular brands: Chanel. For this list, I am going to focus on the best perfumes by the French design house, which will work best in the summer. I have already covered the best overall Chanel scents, but many of those are too heavy and cloying for the heat. The list is in order, as a top three, for the season but all of them will work just fine. It’ll boil down to personal preference.
The base notes of the perfume hold things together with fresh cedar and a great pink pepper note. It is a clean and light scent, but not weak, that will holdup perfectly in the heat and not get bogged down or warped.
Also, shares plenty of the same qualities that makes the original Chance so beloved. Chance Eau Fraiche Review
The EDT Version
Coco Mademoiselle EDT 50ml/1.7oz Brand new & sealed– The EDT version of Coco Mademoiselle is another awesome pick for the summer months. The EDP is more well suited for the colder months, so, make sure you pick up the correct bottle.
The EDT is cleaner and has a lighter overall profile, led by citrus notes including: bergamot, grapefruit, and mandarin orange. The patchouli can initially come off as strong, but once settled in, it totally works within the composition aiding the citrus.
The other main draw, is the jasmine note, which adds a light floral ingredient to this perfume. While not as heavy as the EDP, this one still has a very good longevity and the sillage isn’t ever underwhelming.
In the opening, the crisp citrus notes work well with the floral notes: jasmine, iris, and hyacinth. The drydown, feels more suited to spring, with the slightly powdery floral notes and musk.
Also, the flowers are more prominent in the dry down, than is the citrus. As such the dynamic changes. Still, this one smells great regardless of season, and is a best seller for a reason.

Best Men’s Colognes started back in 2013, as a way to share my learning experiences with different fragrances, as I dove head first into the hobby. Since then, I have written hundreds of reviews and other pages about perfumes and colognes.
Chanel's collection of fine fragrances is equally as beloved as its luxury handbags and couture goods. While it's no easy task to narrow down the best Chanel perfumes, the classic No.5 parfum is undoubtedly the brand's most legendary scent, and also its first.
Coconut. Coconut Calm by Becki Owens welcomes an endless summer with cool ocean breezes, dreamy island coconut, and sensuous vanilla bourbon—a playful, vacation-like vibe to any sunny day. ...
Why We Love It: Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche is a dazzling eau de toilette that's vibrant yet lightweight enough to sport all summer long without being overbearing.
CHANEL No 5 smells bloody amazing. It fits day/evening and can play casual or dressy. It's summer here and it powers through the heat, leans in a charges.
If the perfume contains mainly citrus notes (mandarin, orange, etc.), mint, marine and floral notes or even tropical fruit notes such as coconut, it is very likely to be compatible with the summer season.
Raspberries, peaches, blueberries, cherries, and watermelon are all in season during the summer, and citrus drinks like lemonade and limeade are a staple of many barbecues and poolside gatherings.
“I wanted to highlight the summery side of COCO MADEMOISELLE: an oriental-fruity wake full of sensuality and whose freshness lasts”, emphasizes Olivier Polge, CHANEL In-House Perfumer Creator.
5 remains the grande dame of perfume sales to this day, with a bottle sold worldwide every 30 seconds. The simple, rectangular bottle—representing Coco Chanel's "less is more" philosophy—is a classic too, and in 1959 won a place for the scent in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
FOR the last 81 years, the Chanel name has carried a special resonance for women 30 and older, who have made Chanel No. 5 the world's leading fragrance. But the younger market has proved elusive for Chanel, a state of affairs it intends to change with the introduction of its latest fragrance appealing to 20-somethings.
Many say the name relates to the winning sample presented to Chanel by Beaux, but it can't be ignored that Chanel, a famously superstitious woman, considered five to be her lucky number. In fact, she presented her collections on the 5th of each month – a tradition that the house stays true to today.
Keeping him alive through the years, his greatest muses : Marilyn Monroe, Catherine Deneuve, Carole Bouquet, Nicole Kidman and Marion Cotillard. The status has never yielded N ° 5 museum shelves around the world, although it has been part of MoMA's permanent collections in New York since 1954.
Perhaps the most memorable Chanel product after the perfume Chanel No. 5, is the famous tweed suit. This quickly became a favourite of many famous personalities like Jackie Kennedy, Princess Diana, Brigitte Bardot, and Barbara Walters.
So why exactly is this fragrance so famous? Chanel No. 5 was the world's first abstract fragrance, which incorporated more than 80 ingredients in a complex, multi-layered formulation process that uses aldehydes to heighten the scents and give an airy nature to the floral notes.
Since its inception in 1921, CHANEL N°5 has been the cornerstone of the CHANEL empire. Designed as an extension of her clothing and echoing her vision of modernity, Gabrielle Chanel made her debut perfume the signature scent of the fashion house.
Having gone through a century, it is the most legendary representative in the perfume industry. Behind it, there are many fascinating things worth exploring, let's take a look! First of all, Chanel N°5 is famous for its unique and exclusive fragrance.
