A burning question about ''National Treasure'' (2024)

Q In the history’s mysteries caper National Treasure, a clock pictured on the back of a $100 bill offers a clue that leads Nicolas Cage’s Benjamin Gates to Ben Franklin’s spectacles. What’s really on the back of the bill?

A Perhaps Gates should get his eyes checked. The clock on the $100 bill is on Philadelphia’s Independence Hall. In the film, it reads 2:22, but a rep for the U.S. Department of the Treasury says the time ”is actually 4:10.” (Makes sense if you switch the big and little hands.) As for the significance of the hour, the rep confesses, ”Nobody knows.”
