Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright haven't been on the best terms despite forming a friendship on Vanderpump Rules.
Former Vanderpump Rules' stars Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright have had a major falling out and are currently not on speaking terms. There is a reason for their feud and Brittany confirmed it herself. In recent years, the two ladies have formed a closer bond when they both left Vanderpump Rules after the same season and had babies around the same time.
Schroeder was famously fired for making past racial comments about a former cast member. As for Cartwright, she allegedly left the show, along with her husband and co-star Jax Taylor, to move on. This was a huge change up and the show hasn't been the same since.
However, since the show ended, it appeared that Schroeder and Cartwright had become close supportive friends.
After leaving the show, both of these ladies announced their pregnancies. Stassi was due first and Brittany just a few months after. They were part of the Vanderpump baby boom which also included co-stars Lala Kent and Scheana Shay. These four women experienced pregnancy together and bonded over motherhood.

Stassi and Brittany seemed especially close because their respective partners also got along. Jax and Stassi have a long history together but have moved past it all. Stassi had been engaged to Beau Clark, and together, the four of them formed a friendship.
Post-Vanderpump Life
The two women had baby play dates and backyard BBQs on a regular basis. So when it came time for Stassi to marry her longtime boyfriend Beau it was obvious that Brittany and Jax would be invited their larger wedding that had been put on hold.
Stassi quietly married Beau Clark during the COVID pandemic but was planning a destination wedding with a very intimate guest list. Reportedly, the married couple had to make some guest cuts after Bravo was no longer footing the cost. Destination weddings are an expensive choice that requires friends and family to commit to long travel.
Brittany and Jax made the cut and reportedly not only RSVP'd yes, but often spoke about how excited they were to go. They made the promise to go which was probably costing Stassi and Beau money, and possibly taking the place of another person.
Brittany And Jax Bail
Brittany and Jax at the very last minute didn't go to Italy and had many excuses for it. News of the rift began to circulate thanks to Instagram and the details became known quite quickly. Brittany and Jax ditched out on their friend's wedding last minute and people wanted to know why.
Stassi was the first to acknowledge the drama but didn't name names. On her Podcast, she and her husband Beau discussed their Italian wedding as well as the drama that unfolded right before they left for Europe.
It started weeks earlier when Beau had gotten some texts in a group chat weeks before confirming that Jax and Brittany weren't planning on going to the wedding in the first place.

When asked if they were going, Brittany said yes. The morning they were scheduled to fly to Europe, Stassi and Beau reportedly received many reasons why but they weren't amused. Stassi and Beau were upset that they had been lied to and people they thought were their close friends couldn't communicate with them better.
Brittany's Podcast Admissions
Brittany has gone on her own apology tour and told her side of the story many times. She confirmed that she and Jax didn't go to Italy and that Stassi is no longer speaking to her. Speaking with both the Betches Mom Podcast and on former co-star Scheana Shay's podcast "Scheananigans with Scheana Shay," Brittany addressed the feud.

She gave a few reasons as to why she and Jax couldn't go. Cartwright said that her son's passport hadn't come in, her mom (who was their babysitter) had a death in the family and couldn't be there to watch him, and it just wasn't possible for them to go.
To make matters worse, Brittany even admitted that Jax was rage texting about Stassi and Beau to other people which may have caused even more problems. Yet all of that is very on brand for Jax; Brittany rationalized that Jax had been getting anxious about flying with the baby and had been talking badly behind their friend's back.
They found out and Brittany apologized for Jax's behavior, but it wasn't really forgiven. It was a lot of details and none of them looked very good for Brittany and Jax.
After Brittany's appearance, Shay continued the conversation even revealing that Brittany sent Stassi money for missed dinner plates from the wedding and Stassi sent it back, which is a very clear message. Time will tell if this is one Vanderpump friendship that will be saved.
