Subject: Nate "Zip" Wright[]
Nate Wright is the main character of the infamous Big Nate comics that is still read today, although it's just a comic, it does tell us a lot of information when we look deep into it. Hopefully, we can prove that Nate Wright was indeed adopted.
Clue 1: Hair Color[]
Although just because having different hair colors can't confirm that a person is not related to another, we can still take a deeper look into it:
Nate has black, smooth, and unusual hair, unlike his sister, Ellen, who has dirty blonde, hair, and a ponytail; and his father, Martin, who used to have light brown and wavy hair. Now, to me, light brown is way closer to yellow than black, but if that isn't so, then Nate's mother must have either blond or dark hair.
Clue 2: Photo[]
If you go on the Big Nate Wiki, on Nate's page, it showed a young Marty holding a baby Nate, however, we do not see Nate's mother's photo with Nate, indicating that Nate's mother and Nate did not have a good relationship. It is possible that Nate's mother left them right after birth, but Nate did say that his mom left 3 Years ago (yea, Nate aged before).
Problem 1: March 4, 1991[]
On that date, Nate said that his mother left 3 Years ago, however, in a Mothers' Day Arc Nate talked about how his mom left earlier than he can remember, so that is a mystery we have to solve...
Clue 3: IQ[]
Nate's IQ is better than both Marty and Ellen's, so that means he could have inherited it from his mother, or he was adopted.
Well that is all I have for now, so these are my proofs that Big Nate is adopted But hey, that's just a theory
