Crema Marfil is a beautiful Marble!
You may want to ease your husband's mind by letting him know that both matte (honed) and polished marble are slippery when wet. Even a cement floor around a swimming pool is "slippery when wet" that means standing water is the trouble not the roughness or smoothness of the floor. In my experience the proper use of rugs will take care of any and all slip issues on a polished floor.
The only non-water related slipperiness would come if you wear socks in the bathroom at all times. Then you'll find that a polished floor would seem more slippery then a honed surface even if it is dry.
