What is a Curtain Pelmet?
A curtain pelmet often referred to as a cornice is a type of box crafted usually out of plywood that is designed to cover up curtain poles and fixings and bring style and drama to any room.
The pelmets are usually painted or covered with a patterned or plain fabric in keeping with the style of your curtains or room decor.
There is no rules with pelmets you can have a standard traditional box style that can be paired with curtains and decor to give a very grand traditional feel, or you can go for a more contemporary shape to give you room a chic, dynamic and modern look.

Many people use a valance the same way as a pelmet, to hide curtain poles or curtain fixtures and fittings.
