Can you recover a deleted list in Microsoft to do? ›

Sign in to Outlook on desktop with the same Microsoft account that you use with Microsoft To Do. Navigate to your email folder list, then select Deleted Items. Locate the deleted task, right-click it, and then select Move > Other Folder > Tasks. The deleted task will then eaappear in its correct list.

While items are in the site recycle bin, you can restore items you deleted to their original location. If you're using SharePoint in Microsoft 365, you can even view and restore items that were deleted by someone else, as long as you have edit permissions.

Go to the admin center. Expand Groups, and then click Deleted groups. Select the group that you want to restore, and then click Restore group.

Recover Permanently Deleted Files from an Older Backup

Remove and Delete are defined quite similarly, but the main difference between them is that delete means erase (i.e. rendered nonexistent or nonrecoverable), while remove denotes take away and set aside (but kept in existence).

When you delete an item, it goes into your Deleted Items folder. This is called a Soft deletion. After 30 days, a retention policy on the Deleted Items folder means that your item is automatically moved from your Deleted Items folder to the Deletions folder. This is called a Permanent Deletion.

Warning: There is no way to recover a deleted task. If you accidentally delete a task, you'll need to recreate it from scratch. To delete a task on the Board, select the three dots on the right side of the task card, and then choose Delete.

Restore deleted To-Do tasks
