More on Hecate (Trivia)
Profile
Which witch is which? Well, we know which witch this which is: Hecate, Greek goddess of witchcraft, magic, and the crossroads. This lady is often shown as a three-headed goddess holding torches (um, awesome), and she can usually be seen chilling with her pet polecat and a dog or two. Hecate can get kind of a bad rap—after all, she digs walking around at night with ghosts and other spooky creatures. All in all, though, Hecate is actually more Good than Wicked. Her most famous good-deed-moment was helping Demeter find her daughter, Persephone, after Hades dragged the young goddess down to the Underworld. As if that weren't enough, Hecate is still worshipped—yep, today—by Neopagans and Wiccans all over the place. Talk about staying power.
