If you’ve paid any attention to Patagonia as of late, you’ll know the company has a firm stance on fighting to protect our planet. That takes many forms – everything from lobbying Congress, pushing to protect sacred lands all over the world, and even developing technologies to manufacture new product from waste like recycled fishing nets. Speaking of those recycled nets, they are some of the most harmful forms of plastic pollution in the ocean, which is why Patagonia partnered with recycled skateboard brand Bureo to create new products, like hats.

The new material, called NetPlus, is a fully traceable, 100 percent recycled plastic that’s made from discarded nets found in Chile and Argentina. The project benefits local fisherman by providing financial incentives and benefits our planet by repurposing 71,000 pounds of waste per year. The main reason why I open this page is the title itself. It was really interesting to know about the way that Patagonia makes their recycled clothing. The interview video provided here was really interesting and the way they explain everything is really good Hemp CBD
the concept of recycled clothing is awesome. I wish there was a way to make my exterminator job environmentally friendly but i feel like thats impossible.
This is one of the reasons why I like Patagonia gear (besides their clothes fitting me better, in general!). I’m happy to see other companies like Mountain Hardwear step up as well. It just makes sense that companies that produce gear/clothes for outdoor adventures help protect the environment.
