1. Wash Your Hands, Ready the Water

To start, be sure to wash your hands using the 20-second rule to ensure that no germs will spread. As you’re doing that, make sure to fill up a large bowl with warm water (not hot) and soap.
It’svitally important that you make sure the soap you put in the water is ammonia-free. Ammonia can be harmful to the diamonds and different materials that your Rolex has on it. In some cases, it can lead to discoloration.
Also, be careful not to overdo it. When it comes to how much soap to put in, the smaller amount, the better.
2.Start Applying the Water to the Rolex
Once the water is ready and shows a few bubbles from the soap, start by making sure that the crown of your Rolex is completely screwed down. If not, you risk water getting inside of the watch.
Next, scoop some of the water from the bowl into your hands and make sure it isn’t too hot (you’ll know if it is). If the water checks out, then start applying it onto the Rolex watch.Do not dunk the watch into the bowl.

3. Scrub the Surface

4. Run It Under the Sink
After you’ve thoroughly scrubbed through the Rolex with a soft-bristled toothbrush and soap water, it’s time to rinse the watch under lukewarm water.
However, you also want to make sure not to sit it directly under the sink, as that might invite unwanted water into the inside of the watch. Try to tilt the watch so that the water is running off the side as you rinse it. That will avoid direct contact.
Make sure to continue rinsing it this way until you don’t see any more bubbles within the grooves of the watch. Remember, it’s very important not to scrub the watch with your hands. Let the water rinse off any dirt that you might see.
5. Dry the Watch Off
For this step, you must have a microfiber cloth handy,nota regular hand rag. Microfiber cloths offer a deeper and safer cleaning for your Rolex watch.
Gently place your Rolex watch down on the microfiber cloth, taking the corner of the cloth to lightly dab at the watch. Try your best to refrain from scrubbing the watch to dry it.
Take about 2 to 5 minutes to gently dab all over the Rolex, drying any beads of water that you see along the way.
6. Daily Upkeep
Of course, this isn’t the only time that you should prioritize cleaning your Rolex. If you take a few seconds after wearing it, you’ll find that you have to use soap water less often.
Try taking a microfiber cloth to the Rolex after you wear it to avoid buildup and dirt from collecting on it. You’ll also want to keep the Rolex wrapped in a microfiber cloth when it’s being stored away.
That way you can protect it from germs, dirt, or dust from getting on the material and affecting its aesthetic.
