Jaxon Vega (2024)

Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A handsome vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.

Jaxon Vega is a born vampire and the son of Queen Delilah and King Cyrus. His older brother is Hudson Vega, and Jaxon’s thought-to-be-mate is the lead character of the series, Grace.

Jaxon comes across as cruel and arrogant but, as the story progresses, we learn that he is torturing himself for killing his brother, Hudson. He is the most feared student at Katmere Academy and the heir apparent for the Vampire Court..

In Crave, Jaxon meets Grace—whom he tries to scare off—but he quickly realizes she is his mate, his onetrue love, his world, his everything. In Crush, Jaxon and Grace's mating bond breaks, and he loses his soul. He cares for her deeply and acts as a protector, but the truth comes out that his guardian, the Bloodletter aka God of Chaos, actually fabricated their bond in hopes of giving Jaxon a way of feeling love.

Jaxon's brother comes back from the dead and tries to put a major strain on Jaxon and Grace's relationship and, in a fight to stop his father from destroying his relationship with Grace, Jaxon gets bitten by Cyrus, and he dies, asking Grace to give his last bit of energy/power to Flint, his previous best friend, who is dying. Once dead, he is saved by Flint's mother, a dragon, when she sacrifices her dragon heart to him because he sacrificed his life to save Flint's.

As of Court, Jaxon is healthy and living, having his soul restored by the Dragon Queen's heart. He also can transform himself into a dragon because of the dragon heart, he is now half vampire and half dragon. Unfortunately, during the unbeatable trials, he watches as four of his friends are killed off while trying to protect him. After they finish the last trial, Jaxon breaks down, with Flint to help him.

In the bonus chapter at the end of the book, Jaxon and Hudson have a meeting, where they discuss their relationships, more specifically, Jaxon's relationship with Flint.

Throughout the book, Hudson and Jaxon are slowly trying to fix their relationship. In Charm it is revealed that as children, they were very close. Jaxon still has the wooden horse that Hudson made for him.

As of Cherish, he is not with Grace anymore, as she is not his real mate. The book starts with Grace explaining how Jaxon spent the summer with Flint at the dragon court, where they were trying to make their relationship work. They go through several up's and downs throughout the book, but by the end of the book, after they are all subjected to the torturous trials in prison, Jaxon realizes that Flint is his real mate. By the end of the book, Jaxon and Flint remain together.

Jaxon's relationship with Hudson also improves by the end of the book. They preform a song together, My Blood, in the shadow dimension, which Grace describes as a song about family. Hudson and Jaxon become much closer.
