Jerry Norbert was the former neighbor of Phil and Claire. He was portrayed by Matt Besser.
In "Halloween", Jerry told Phil that his wife walked out on him, which freaked Phil out. Phil then pressed Jerry to tell him, but he stopped listening at "spontaneous and sexy."
In "Won't You Be Our Neighbor", Jerry moved out after his divorce from his wife and asked Phil to sell his (Jerry's) house.
In "Thanksgiving Jamboree", Jerry was invited to spend Thanksgiving with the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker family. Jerry was pretty depressed, presumably because of the divorce. During the party, Phil, Jay and Jerry went to a pharmacy and ran into Jerry's wife's divorce lawyer that also turned out to have been Dede's lawyer, too.
